Packers 2026/27 Season Thread

Packers trade Wicks to Philly for a 5th rounder this year (153) and a 6th next year. 2027 6th will be the worst between Philly and GB's picks. As GB had traded there 6th to Philly last year for Kinnard and Philly traded the rights to the better of the two picks to the Jets last season for a player.

GB saves $2.6 million in the trade.

I think it was a good trade. Some think GB should have gotten more but for a WR in last year of his contract who's had drop issues getting two picks is pretty good.

The Packers now this year will have 8 picks 2,3,4,5,5,6,7,7

The Packers in 2027 are projected to have 11 picks with 9 of them being day 3.
 
Value is fine and I understand the trade, but bottom line, for a team that has wanted more veteran presence at WR, they're now down to Watson and Reed. Golden and Williams are talented but there's risk here.

Agree with this, with GB injury history, I have to wonder if he was one of the vocal players in the locker room they wanted to move on from.
Common sense would say they draft a rookie, but maybe a vet in that WR room with some leadership skills would help more?
