Packers 2026/27 Season Thread

So been some talk of Packers trading for a backup QB. One name I have not seen talked about is Aidan O'Connell. He's going to end up QB3 in Vegas this year and going to be heading into the last year of his rookie deal. So possible you can trade for him for a future late round pick. He's had experience starting so might be worth looking into.

Wouldn't hurt to look. His experience makes it interesting.

They don't have to extend Kraft or Watson right away, folks...they may do one or the other, but to be blunt, they would be dumbasses not to see how both of them are health-wise at least 8 games in before pulling the trigger on an extension.
I am not as sold on Parsons ACL as others are, either... it was a non-contact tear, which tells me he has something going on in his knees... bad karma.
A lot of variables the front office has to deal with personal wise...do you take that WR later and use a 3rd on an edge rusher? However, the scheme you're playing doesn't blitz much, so??

These 2 contracts are the Big Ones.

Watson. Seems to be a 1 trick pony who doesn't have the best hands. When he gets open deep he's exciting. But, where is he a he'll of a lot of the time. I can ignore his dad, but, remember, it doesn't take many plays to create a You Tube Highlight vid. He has an unlucky injury history, although I believe his hamstring issues appear resolved. I'm thinking the big Thanksgiving Day Contract, if he produces and carries the team.

Kraft. Great WI personality - Great attitude. I'm not down on him, but, and this is important because purchases should not be emotional, a lot of his big plays - to me - appear to have been Luck tossing it up out of desperation and him getting to it - why wasn't he open so Luck could throw it on schedule? I'll forgive his whiffs on Fieldgoal Extra Point blocks because it appears he was doing that phantom interior arm block designed by his old Special Teams guru. I say we wait on him and see how he comes back - probably near the end of the season.

These are tough decisions we must get right. Emotionally, I say pay the men. Trying to use my noggin, I say wait. Maybe give them some sort of early bonus but wait on the big contract.
