One report I heard on the details is that the original 911 calls came in on Saturday about yelling and things being thrown. Jacobs wasn't arrested until days later. Doesn't seem like a hasty decesion by a single cop but rather a decision made up higher than the patrol cop that an arrest needed to be made. I may be getting wrong facts. There'll probably be more details on the facts and the timeline coming out.

Saw one thing were filing charges the burden of proof is a lot lower. When it comes to pressing charges in court it is much higher.
 
Sounds like whoever called 911 didn’t want to pursue it (doesn’t want to lose the gravy train maybe). But since they did the DA has to do their due diligence especially since this is all over the media. I’m sure it gets dropped quietly in a few weeks.
 
In Wisconsin, if there us a call for domestic violence, whoever is determined to be the aggressor has to be taken to jail. I did see an article where Jacobs left the scene before cops arrived and later turned himself in. Im guessing something did happen and they are just doing due diligence to decide what, if anything to formally charge him with.
