Is it just me or do pressures man jack if you don't ever get home? LVN had 1.5 sacks on the season playing in 10 games. The pressure BS was the same crap the Gary defenders tried to play the last couple years.
Look at the Texans blocking this little outside play...see how they hold long enough to open the hole, but watch their hands and when they let go.... first off, very athletic group, but the hand discipline is fantastic....but more to his point. some teams (like the packers) get called for very questionable holding and other teams (like the bears) don't get called for glaringly obvious holding. and if "there is holding on every play", as we have heard over and over, why do some get away with it while others do not?
Luke Getsy used to do that. Hire him back.Hire Jerry Rice. He will toss bricks at them. You can catch a brick you can catch a ball!

I think this is where having a more veteran/better OL coach would help. Stenovich came up coaching a vet OL (Bakh, Linsley, Turner and Bulaga), and it worked with them. This is now a young, pretty green OL and they play rudderless. There's a lack of veteran savvy in that room, both on the player side and the coaching side. They need a steady hand.so again - it comes down to how to do it and not get called! Just so you know, I'm not accusing anyone of cheating - I'm just saying that I don't think our OL knows how to do it! And that if a team is trailing by more than a td in the 2nd half - the officials let even more go uncalled.
and it's likely to stay that way as we continue to cycle through new players every year or so. gute is so bad at drafting these guys that almost none of them stick around long enough for a second contract. This is now a young, pretty green OL and they play rudderless.
exactly. that came up early - the lack of veteran leadership on both sides of the ball.I think this is where having a more veteran/better OL coach would help.
