Usually teams don't want a lame duck coach or GMthey are under contract in 26.... why not just let it play out?

Personally I think ML would not take a 1 year deal. Now if team says ok we will had 3 more year on to the you have still in 2026 to make it 4 more years that yeah is something he takes as it provides security for him for at least 2 if not 3 years from any talk about him being fired. No way ML would accept just a one year thing, nor should he. Until a couple individual players boffed the game that as one of the best coached games of his life. Frankly I think he's earned a long term extension after this season.
Watson not sure I am extending him yet. Lets go into next year see what happens. Hobbs I am thinking he's back just because you wont' find anything to replace him for what you would save to cut him. Jacobs if healthy is a stud so he will be back next year. Wyatt I am sure extending him. We have seen the difference between the DL when he's in there and when he is not there. After a half nights rest I’m not bitter about the loss. We outplayed the Bears all game long with our back up QB.
A few thoughts. Doubs, R Walker, Willis won’t be back. I would think two of them could get comp pick qualifying deals. From my amateur eye Morgan held up pretty well at RT. Encouraging.
I’m open to trading Gary is the price is right. I’m not giving LVN a 5th year option. I’m not extending Wyatt at this point.
id try to get Cox on a team friendly 3 year deal. I’m paying Watson, Rhyan and Quay this off season.
Cutting Jenkins, Nixon and Hobbs for starters. Josh Jacobs is the interesting one. Lloyd was supposed to step up so we could move on from Jacobs this year. That has not happened but Wilson has stepped up, but he’s not a bell cow.
We need to get better at CB and DT IMO. With what we trot out there every Sunday, we likely have the worst at those position groups of anybody.
X is another quandary for me. Think we have to bring him back. Even though Williams and Bullard are studs.
I’d love a blue chip FA CB and DT. Likely won’t get either.
for those wanting to fire Rich, I’m with you, just not for the onside kick last night. We got exactly what we wanted and Brandon Doubs or Romeo Bostick ****ed UP!
Better days ahead.
Coaches have financial security, their contracts are guaranteed. Team needs to pony up for him and if they're too timid to fire the GM then they need to force some accountability in that structure because the current mix isn't working.Personally I think ML would not take a 1 year deal. You do save some cap $ by moving him, which you can use to go sign a CB and or DL.Gary a trade you won't be getting much. Either a 5th or 6th round pick. Maybe you can swap him for another teams high priced player who has not been giving results they want at OL or CB.
Yep all the Gary defenders I heard about when talking about lack of sacks is he is getting pressures though! unless he gets 2.5 sacks in the last 2 games it will mark every year in his 7 year career he's never got double digit sacks. He's Clowney 2.0 a guy over rated for his pass rush because every now and then you get some flashes were you think he can dominate but the other 90% of the time he's just out there half assing it to collect a game check.Gary was and always had been over rated. Let him go and bring someone in who wants to compete …
