While there is some truth in that, just because a guy has a good preseason game or two or the contrary it really doesn't mean all that much. The coaches see these guys on the practice field and in film rooms and get a better feel for what they can offer from that than any number of reps they will get in a couple preseason games. JMHOThe only value in the preseason is to the guy who's trying to play his way onto the team.
At least to me, there was always a difference when the guys I was playing against were not on my team.
