Post Game: Packers Defeat Bears 28-21

it was another one of gute's draft failures. i would have been okay drafting him later in the draft, but trading up in the first round to pick lvn? yes, he used the highest pick we got for rodgers to select a guy who - like you said - has done virtually nothing of note since the packers drafted him. in the same year, the detroit lions drafted three pro bowlers with their first four picks, and the 4th one is no slouch. we really need a new gm.
In that draft looking back JSN or Gonzalez would have probably been the best picks to go with. I know I wanted Brodrick Jones at that pick as I thought LT was the biggest need.

i agree that jsn or possibly zay flowers was the best pick. and if it absolutely had a to be a de, then the jets pick of will macdonald was a better pick than lvn. but not a single defensive end from that draft has been a pro bowler yet. it was a pretty weak draft for des.

That's the point - they know they can because current officiating allows it. Nobody wants to see a flag on every play, but most people want to see blatant penalties getting a flag. If you have to throw a flag on the first play, to set a tone, then do it - but don't wait until a crucial time in the game to throw one, when it's been going on all game.
I like how ML addressed it in his press conference. "I guess I don't know what holding is anymore."
