Post Game Packers Defeat Giants 27-20

wow. two people post the exact same thing at the exact same time. has that ever happened here before?
 
Got to watch this game this morning.

Of the 7 or whatever charted drops, probably 4 of them were stone cold, devastating, which is super high. All 3 by Doubs were first down, drive sustaining catches. The over the shoulder one to Watson would've been tough but he needs to come down with that ball. Doubs just makes it impossible for them to consider keeping him after this year.

Watching Luke Musgrave run short out routes to the sideline reminds me of Richard Rogers. He just has no agility or ability to shake a defender. He had two drops but even if he caught them it would've netted maybe 3 yards. Maybe there is a team that would take advantage of his straight line speed but it's not in GB.

Love looked great, start to finish. The bad drops weren't difficult plays, he was dropping the ball right into their hands. After the shoulder injury he looked light on his feet, rolling out up on his toes. It's so much fun to watch him when he gets into those blackout modes and his confidence spikes. I thought the Giants played a lot of man coverage which played right into his hands, he's been eating up man coverage this year.

On D we had 4 legit dropped INTs. Again, not like oooo it brushed his finger tips. These were right in the hands or chest. Catching 1 or 2 of them would've made it such a different game.

I thought Javon Bullard was phenomenal. Seemed to be everywhere. He was good, Valentine was good, Quay was good, Parsons was good.

The interior rotation of Colby Wooden, Brooks, Brinson and Stackhouse is just not getting it done. Wooden is so up and down, he's had really good games and really poor games. I don't know who is out there but I still say they are dying for a big dude inside with some maturity to his game.

Overall with the D I think there is just a talent problem. You have to cover up Nixon and the secondary overall. They NEED pass rush to be dominant, which means they need someone other than Parsons to dominate. They're not getting it with 4 and maybe Halfey needs to bring back some of those sim pressure looks from last year, but Nixon's play just killed them yesterday. It's damned if you do, damned if you don't. You play zone, you need the rush to get home otherwise guys are turned loose left and right. You play man, the rush needs to get home immediately or else Nixon is back there getting smoked by a UDFA. It's hard to make a living when you're constantly having to hide your corners and ILBs in coverage.

Time for Gutey and front office to go. It's downright criminal what that personnel department has done over his reign.

i'd really love to know when those two drops were. i've checked every resource i can find, and they all agree that only two passes were thrown his way and he caught one of them.

Conversely, this defense has held opponents to 20 pts or less in 7 of 10 games this season, which hasn't been done by the Packers since their 2010 super bowl run. Raises for Gutey and staff?

Crux of the issue for me is that at the time of the Parsons trade, it's clear now they weren't one player away. Yes they needed the stud, which they got, but they needed a corner and they needed an interior DL. Those guys didn't need to be studs either, just competent players. It's a shame because there were avenues to help out there and Gute stayed put. The current puzzle pieces just don't quite fit, there are gaps.
