It's dangerous to read too much into a preseason game, but the Baltimore Ravens might have exposed some troubling shortcomings on Thursday.

A little side information that should be considered. Although the statements in the article are somewhat true, we need to look at the talent level on the Ravens. They gave up the least amount of yardage per game of any team in the NFL. #1 in that category. Only gave up 17.9 points per game. Only the Bears were better at 17.7. They gave up 1327 yards rushing, 4th best, with under 83.0 yards per game.

We played against what some people believe might be the best defense in the NFL this coming year, but at least we know, one of the best, and the guys they put on the field, vying for jobs, know they had to play their best to even have a chance to make their roster.

Never undersell the opposition, even during preseason. Our numbers may have been low, but our best wasn't out there for the entire game. What we need to be concerned about most is the fact that we didn't play disciplined.
