He wanted to control the timeline. He’s a smart dude, he knows how many years he has left. It’s not about getting beat out

Well you always can't control your future. I think him wanting to jump out now will hurt his legacy and that's what is important to him.

Many professional athletes have Many elite guys feel they have earned that right. The only thing that will hurt his legacy is if he crashes and burns at his next stop

But it does seem Favre has that ding of how he went out to end his career.

Fans are irrelevant. Sure some will take sides but this is a business first and formost and the Favre debacle never hurt the bottom line
 
The truth is, anyone who's ever felt they were screwed on a job when it was given to someone else who wasn't qualified, is going to be right there, supporting Rodgers, to the dying end.

This whole thing with him is playing out like every other work place drama, except it's getting more publicity.

You can bet that a lot of people will support Rodgers simply because they believe that bringing Love in was like handing that job/promotion, to someone else, even though you knew in your mind, it was yours.

How did it hurt the bottom line any more then with Rodgers? People still came to games still bought stuff no money was lost.
