Rodgers Wants Out

I’d want players more than picks. Trade him for a first and a second, and we could wind up with another Stokes and AJ Dillon. Would that come close to return value for Aaron Rodgers?

I still think it's like 70/30 he's under center for GB in 2021 and traded after the season. Even if it means they would get less picks after this year. But even if they trade him after this year and only get say 1st round and a 1 or 2 2nd rounders I won't complain about getting that for a 38 year old QB.

So who was available? It’s not like the last couple drafts have been ILB deep
Couldn't tell ya.

How many inside linebackers have we drafted in the last 10 years? How many undrafted free agent inside linebackers have we brought in? We typically don't have draft positions to get the best at anything. I've heard people bitching about our inside linebackers for over 10 years, and we haven't tried to improve that position. Sometimes you have to take a flyer on draft guru's second and third tier guys and try and find a diamond in the rough

I think GB did that with Burks and rolled snake eyes. Though I think GB right now feels that Martin and Barnes are good enough at ILB.

And again who? It’s need but also BPA. You just don’t take a kid who is 150 on your board to fill a need rounds 3-5.

And ultimately that’s the gamble you are taking. If you go that route your betting on a 38 year old QB having another career MVP type year and then throw in injury risk. And who wants a QB who’s skills are on the way down with his price tag.

If it's high first round picks you want, then you either won't get them or you'll get less of them. I'm fine with either scenario assuming the team believes it has it's QB in Love. If not, then you want that single high pick so you can take care of that position. Otherwise, getting 4-6 additional picks in the top 2 rounds is a solid way to build around your young QB.
Having that high 1st round pick still isn't a guarantee that you can fix the position.
How many high pick 1st round QB's have we seen that don't do squat?
It's a tough player position to get sound player eval to make sure you are getting that choice as the right choice.
