Rodgers Wants Out

Tyler Dunne ARTICLE For your reading pleasure or not... Just remember he was the guy who foretold all this and was called a lot of names.
That was painful to read. That does not shed a good light on Rodgers at all. I can't really even respond. Still trying to digest that whole article. Thanks for posting.

I have a feeling like it's 70/30 he stays. I think it's going to be two stubborn bull heads and neither side will give and Rodgers forced to back down
If anything the organization will. It’s in their DNA. The organization will go out of its way to limit or get rid of the distraction. And in a way they have little choice. From a business perspective #1 he’s a distraction if he’s here or sits out. It’s going to be a narrative of “what’s next for Rodgers”. #2 his value will never be greater #3 injury risk at his age goes up every snap. If he goes down you lost an opportunity that will take you years to recover from. Only 1 best case for the organization if he stays. You win a Lombardi.

Thanks for posting. The only thing I have a bit of a problem wrapping my head around is the “highest paid” narrative. Unless you are adding years or even voidable years (my guess) you can’t get to $45m AAV unless you restructure Titletown. If in fact that was offered no matter what the structure it’s clear money was never the issue and money was never going to make this go away. The guy is what’s described, a narcissistic manipulative guy who thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room. And just a gut but the organization knew this for a while and maybe enough was enough. It’s not about skills it’s about doing things the GB Way not the Aaron Rodgers way.
It was just kind of shocking to read some of the comments that teammate made. Goes to some of the conversation here about how the relationship between MM and now ML is strained. I'm still shaking my head at Rodgers antics.

Though does GB say ok we trade him for what we want or no trade if they would agree to move him

We all know Rodgers became a massive diva after winning the super bowl and letting it all go to his head. That's when he started knowing what was best for him and the team. I think that is truly when the rift started with MM as he felt he no longer needed MM and it was MM who needed him. It just got worse over the years and when he ran MM out of town he felt he could get whatever he wanted in the future also.

I think this may just be it Pack. You nailed it with this post.

Thanks for posting Mark! I wanted to read Tyler's work but couldn't justify $70 a year for it.

I buy everything about his personality, it's great and valuable insight from Dunne. I do think there is more of a money play going on here, I think Rodgers' pettiness would be satiated (enough) by making them eating a turd sandwich and paying up to keep him around another 3 years.

“Aaron is an intelligent, trolling, petty, mother------,” says this teammate, as a compliment, who asked to remain anonymous because the Packers still employ him. “He’s going to get the last laugh. He’s going to make you look f------ stupid for disrespecting him. As a front office, why haven’t you anticipated this? Why are you getting blindsided?

“I’m not saying Aaron’s evil but this is like a criminal mastermind plan.”

With that quote, what you posited, is totally within the realm of possibility. I'm trying to come up with a word that describes that type of thinking. I know some have said narcissistic but it's borderline psychotic, imo. That might be a little extra but damn, that's not a good look for AR.

Psychotic I think you mentally are focused on one outcome not knowing what is right or wrong. That's not Rodgers. Rodgers is narcisstic. He knows exactally what he's doing and what game's he needs to play and what he needs to say to get the outcome he wants and is willing to play whomever he needs to get said outcome.
