Yes you still need to extend Adams which impacts cap. You also have cap hits on Rodgers roster management
 
You cannot tag and trade in the current NFL it's against the rules of the tag.
 
I can just imagine the furor there would be if Rodgers came back, they won a Super Bowl, and he got the MVP award again. This whole discussion now would be like discussing a light rain storm compared the the gully washing downpour that would be coming.

And the thing is it’s the only situation that wound validate the organization if he stays.

Well they would not trade for Adams and Rodgers unless they could have deals in place before trade likely and cap space to do it.
