Rodgers Wants Out

Again, I don't see what the massive screw up really is. It's not like this happened 6 years ago, where Rodgers had a bunch of good years left. Everyone more or less agrees he's probably got 1-2 more good years left, the team wanted to move on soon anyway, the compensation haul is not as much as people think it will be. I mean, GB got the best years out of his career by far. The got a SB title. They continued to keep coffers full and did all their land development off of that. What's happening now is unpleasant, sure, but all things considered there isn't any mud slinging, it's not ugly as far as these things go. Where is the major screw up that's so big and damaging? What are they missing out on?
Agree. If there was a screwup, it was managing the situation. Dunn’s trip to GB IMO had zero to do with a contract, do that on Zoom. That trip was a formal request for a trade. The you fly to LA for summit, at that point assess the situation and if it’s unmanageable cut bait. Don’t play this song and dance that you are “addressing the situation”.

I get why they want him back. It’s a one year “last dance” window to win a Lombardi. But at the same time you now own the distraction. Not ideal

I still don't buy he's willing to sit out and give up millions he will play when Packers call his bluff he will sit out.
And if the organization realizes that he’s not coming back it’s time to cut bait, cut the best deal you can and move on. Bottom line if he sits out until week 1 or 2 nobody wins

I don't disagree that there were no serious offers. However had the FO let it be known they were open for business they would have got better trade offers then than they will if they change thier minds now.

That’s actually my biggest gripes. I’m convinced that Dunn asked for a trade on his GB trip and he was told in no uncertain terms no, not happening. That’s short sighted. Gute and more so Murphy need to “read the room” and understand the consequences.

Well sometimes GB needs to play hardball back
