Well sometimes GB needs to play hardball back
Why? For spite? Or just because they can’t see or manage the situation? But if you want a distraction and take the risk your most valuable asset deprecated in one season god bless them and they have to live with the consequences for years to come

Perhaps it is spite and our FO is that inept.

Let's go back to ML was hired. Murphy was reported to say to Rodgers don't be the problem. If true does this show that Murphy at least was growing tired of Rodgers and his diva attitude and this is more or less just the team saying ok we are near the point we are done with his diva attitude and Rodgers being like fine they ship me out of here then and now it's just who claims that no he did not break up with me I broke up with him BS.

This is about as stupid a statement as any player can make. If they back Rodgers, they're accepting that the organization is wrong. Yet they say they respect the organization and the people running it, and appreciate them. How the hell can you even think that this kind of a statement shows anything except you're really not too bright?

I wish players would stay out of this thing. It's not going to help one darned bit.

Well I thought Adams already has said that he will take into consideration what happens with Rodgers with his own future with GB on signing a deal or not.

They're trying to walk a fine line. Arod is notoriously thinned skinned. If they don't throw him a bone and he comes back they have to cover that. But they also can't knock the guys who sign thier paychecks. Unless you're Adams you can't afford to seem like you're taking sides.
