Rodgers Wants Out

What happens in the GB front office and others in the league privately is not what we see publicly. And guess what? The trade market is not robust for multiple reasons and 90% of those reasons the GB front office has zero control of.

Aaron Rodgers will get traded. Might not be this season but it will happen. What the market is now will not be the market we see in February and March next year. Yes there is risk / reward involved but it’s a business.

I see this as a declining market on Rodgers.

I don't think if he comes back at the end of camp or mid season he will help the Pack. The Pack has a new center and a new receiver - who I think will be at least Cobb in his prime good if not better - who won't have an opportunity to learn Rodgers pre-snap changes, modifications, quirks, and improvisations.

Also, because it will be difficult for Rodgers and a new team to learn how to play together - see above, teams aren't going to trade for Rodgers this year if they only get him for part of camp.

I'm not naive, I know it's not fantasy football. I know there are cap issues, but year in and year out, we see teams in cap hell somehow get through tough situations while the Pack Front Office plays super conservative and works its cap for years in the future.

I also think a bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush - especially when you know the 2 are flying away.

I doubt Rodgers does the Pack any good this year. I doubt his value is ever higher. He should be traded now.

I doubt that the Packers Front Office is doing anything but engaging in this dumb ass power play of we're right and he's wrong. I doubt we score anything close to what the Lions got for Stafford.

That's what I believe. I'll gladly mea culpa if proven wrong.
 
I don't know why, but I have this feeling that the #1 landing spot for Rodgers may well be Las Vegas. Why? Carr, Peterman, and Mariota. The only one of the three that I see as having anything working for him is Carr, and I have a feeling he's broken. He's also in the last year of his contract.

They won't extend Carr unless he has one heck of a good year. Rodgers would be something they'll be salivating over, if available. The only problem is, would they give up their #1 for him, along with additional picks, or players? That's the mystery. It kind of depends on how bad this season is for them. If they pick outside the top 16, they'd probably give a 1st and their extra 5th.

The Stafford situation is not apples to apples to begin with, there was a guy named Goff of the other end who needed to be moved so LA overpaid.

The market will increase in size, its the nature of the NFL even if he sits for 2021. Cap hell? Welcome to the 2021 and 2022 Green Bay Packers.

Chucky also has hard-ons for old QB's who are good like Rodgers.

I have my $$$ on New Orleans, I dont think Winston is the answer and Loomis has never been one to shy away from a big move

I see the Raiders because of Vegas itself. Everyone likes a good show on the strip. He'd be exactly that, for a year or two. By comparison, I see Carr as a lounge act.

I think NOLA does not have the cap to do anything they are pretty bad off
