Rodgers Wants Out

So explain to me how they got better this offseason? You know because we won the last two super....oh wait?
Randall Cobb is going to kill it I’m telling you.

But seriously, I’m only addressing the intent, not the wisdom. I see a lot of exasperation about why they would want him back for just one year, and then assumptions about their mental capacity. But it’s simple and straight forward isn’t it? They think they can get back and over the hump with him and this roster and those opportunities don’t come around all the time. It’s risky - if he gets hurt then game over, kaput. It’s not likely to work out. They believe it’s a risk worth taking.

They caved to his demands. Bad precedent. Better than the alternative? Maybe. Better alternative? Trade him.
Maybe their was no good offer for him on the table? Better to keep him this year see if you can get better value if there was no good offer for him.

So which Aaron shows this year the MVP or the guy from the previous two seasons?
I think you will still get a guy who can throw 30 TDs but not a MVP. Last year he played with chip on shoulder. This year he knows he has got what he wanted and can ride out the year.

Thing is he's going to be 40 years old in 2022 Team that trades for him gets 2 maybe 3 years out of him and he's done.

Freedom from a list of people wanting to trade for him? No way GB can just let him go to the lowest bidder, just because Aaron wants to be on that team. Am I missing something?

I am thinking that GB will let him shop himself but still not like they will day ok Denver will give us a 7th rounder for him when Vegas will give a 2nd. That would not fly
