UW-M might have backed out on hiring a different HC?

I don't think "they" decided anything. It sure sounds like the Chancellor, by himself, decided this. UWM has taken a fair bit of criticism because their athletic department has almost no diversity, which isn't a good "look" for an urban university with quite a bit of diversity.

The chancellor is obviously looking at the bigger picture but this is a poor way to do your business. Everyone, including the chancellor should have been on board and signed off on the choice. He should have overruled Braun and the search committee before they offered anyone if that's what he wanted to do.

It's not like Jordan isn't qualified since he was obviously a finalist, but you look stupid when you handle it this way. What a dumpster fire.
