The San Antonio Spurs and Pau Gasol reached an agreement on a contract buyout Friday and the plan is for the Bucks to sign the 18-year veteran after he clears waivers.

Like this Bucks needed a veteran to help give a playoff exp voice. Won't provide much on the floor but should be worth pay in the locker room.

Insurance for Lopez. If he went down, we'd be short one aircraft carrier. He's going to be a solid addition. Enjoyed watching Mirotic showing as much as he has already. It reminds me of the only championship season, and my getting to go to two games in Milwaukee in the finals. It was one amazing atmosphere. None of us had every experienced anything like that.

I'm not expecting him to contribute a ton but they are going to face some solid big men in the playoffs and if Gasol can give them a solid 10-12 minutes in those games he'll be worth it.
