What we know about the search for a new Wisconsin men's hockey coach

From the article, two major targets even declined to be interviewed. Though that is absolutely understandable since they're already coaching at Denver and Duluth and even in Wisconsin's heyday this would be a lateral move at best, as far as prestige, facilities, and access to recruits. Only thing UW can boast over those two programs is $$$, though each have their big time boosters.

We'll have to see what the next week or so brings. Is Wisconsin alluring enough to pry someone away from Mankato or Western Michigan? Never mind looking at those guys currently at Ohio State or St. Cloud.

The search must be going very slowly if there aren't even whispers of someone coming out of the minor leagues somewhere and the focus has been solely on current NCAA coaches.
 
They need to hire the Carlson brothers to coach. The rule would be, win, or you have to spend shifts practicing against the three, every day until the next game. In about 2 or 3 weeks, a few broken noses, nobody walking around without at least one black eye, and you can bet your bippy the will work their rears off to insure they don't have to attend practice with them on the ice.
