Wisconsin and NIL

no, its protecting your contracted partners who have paid millions for those rights
But if the player wants to drive a Chevy off campus as part of a sponsor deal should he not have that right even if the school has a deal with Ford? Not like that player gets any money from the school.

Again the player is associated with the school. Gilt by association Schools have the right to protect its sponsors. Especially if your deal is exclusive. Also if he drives that car it brings in tax liability and other issues. That’s where the kids need representation

sounds like a big mess a kid will need a agent/lawyer to look over everything they do.

Yes they do which I would advise any kid to do
So will kids even be barred from promoting a car dealership if the brand is not what the school drives or a fast food place if the school has a deal with another fast food place?

Very possible yes. Most legislation is written that way

Maybe but still I think most kids will be lucky if they get more then few hundred bucks I think on deals.
Totally disagree. Not all schools have sponsors in all categories. Many do not. And fast food is not a category. Burger pizza etc is. And my guess sponsors on school radio networks are exempt
