2025 co-Newcomer of the Spring – Special Teams
Cornerback who spent one season under Torrian Gray’s tutelage in Columbia after transferring from North Carolina State in January of 2025… logged 65 tackles and 10 pass breakups with two interceptions in three seasons of college football… declared for the NFL Draft following his junior campaign… invited to the NFL Combine.
2025 (Junior)
Made an immediate impression upon his arrival in Columbia, earning Newcomer of the Spring honors for the defense and co-Newcomer of the Spring accolades for special teams…started all 12 games for the Gamecocks, 11 at cornerback and one at Nickel… credited with 27 tackles including 19 solo stops… posted 1.5 tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries, an interception and a forced fumble… tied for second on the squad with five pass breakups… had four tackles with a pair of PBUs in the season opener against Virginia Tech… logged a season high five tackles against Vanderbilt… lone interception came against Kentucky… served as a game captain against Kentucky and Ole Miss.
2024 (Sophomore)
Second-year player at NC State… appeared in nine contests… credited with 28 tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss and five pass breakups… recorded a season-high six stops versus Northern Illinois… registered four tackles against Tennessee, Clemson and Georgia Tech… logged a career-high 73 snaps against Georgia Tech… had a TFL against Duke… collected a pair of PBUs against both Clemson and Stanford.
2023 (Freshman)
Reserve cornerback who enrolled at NC State in January and went through spring drills… played in the Wolfpack’s “dime” package… appeared in all 13 games… registered 10 tackles and one interception… played 142 snaps on defense and 82 on special teams… saw a season-high 20 snaps versus Marshall and again versus Clemson… picked off a pass to seal the win over Miami.
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Lakewood High School in Sumter, S.C. in December 2022… played defensive back and wide receiver for head coach Larry Cornelius… tallied 37 tackles, one interception, 13 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries (returning one for a touchdown) as a senior in 2022… added 42 catches for 764 yards and eight touchdowns (1,220 all-purpose yards) on offense… as a junior he finished with 33 tackles, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble… as a wide receiver caught 22 passes for 297 yards and three touchdowns… also played basketball and ran track… posted best times of 11.12 in the 100m and 22.09 in the 200.

Brandon Cisse was born July 3, 2005… is a services management major… younger brother, Cedric, is also a member of the South Carolina football team.
