The Cisse pick is a great fit where need meets all the traits the Packers prefer. Not sure he'll be ready to start right from the get-go, but has a chance to contribute and add depth and competition right away - something they didn't have last year. Thank goodness they didn't ignore their biggest need this year.

So far I like the kid. Never get tired of seeing those clips where you know the kid really appreciates the opportunity and doesn’t take it for granted. And he didn’t put in some macho show about it, showed his emotions.

who do we have that's better? i get the fact that he's not coming from a top-tier school, but he appears to have all the tools and just needs to learn the playbook.
Don't know that we have anyonr better but you know how the Packers are with rookies. Cisse played in the SEC last season so he's seen top-flite receivers but he's also only 20 years old and the main negative I've read about him is that he's not particularly polished. Who knows - he may start from day 1 but it's also possible it takes until mid-season before he's ready.
top-tier school?? South Carolina is an SEC school that puts out a lot of talent..... his technique needs work, he has all the physical tools, but he needs a lot of coaching, which is why he fell. Great value, and I love the pick, but heads up, he's going to give up yards and some plays before he figures it out.

Yeah most likely how GB plays Valentine and and Nixon start season as your boundary CB's but at some point one or both will be struggling and get replaced during the season.
GB is playing cover-3 over as a base if what we know about our DC is true, so the whole boundary-corner/man thing is being overstated, including our dumbass beat guys who obviously didn't do any homework this offseason. I think we will be zone-heavy with safety help over the top.
