Packers make trade with Chiefs for a RB

Sam Shields put on IR to make room for Davis.

I wonder how long it will take for K. Davis to learn the Packers offense? It's going to be interesting seeing how they employ him, or if he's just an emergency back, with Montgomery lining up in the backfield from his WR position.

This bit with Montgomery is interesting though. Using a WR back there, if he can block, and run with the ball, could be a dynamic change in how they throw the ball as well.

On packer radio pregame last week they mentioned Ty has been working a lot with the RB group past couple weeks.

Back to Davis. Low risk high reward. Davis hasn't shown much in KC last few years. But then again nobody thought Ryan Grant or Samkon Gado would do much either.

From MM's presser seems like Jackson will get called up as well.

Davis only counts about 436k against Packers cap this year. In final year of a 4 year contract.

As I'm trying to be more positive today :) other advantage. If Davis somehow gets his mojo back you just found Starks replacement without spending a draft pick. Davis also is a good receiver and a decent kick returner.

Sounds like a conditional 7th Rd pick in 2018 according to the radio this morning.
