I’ve said all along as you have the chances of an off season deal was more likely. They liked what they saw and pulled the trigger now. And for a small market team you can’t keep everyone. Hader had the most value.

One more point. Rogers is a FA so if the plan is to keep him they need some flexibility. The more I look at the deal it makes sense. Gamble yes but I get the logic betting on the upside
