Packers 2023-24 Season Thread

Davante Adams said in recent interview prior to his last year in GB the Packers offerred him less then $20 million a year in a new contract. He said had GB wanted him to prove himself one more year and made him play on his last year. Had GB made him a real offer prior to that last year he thinks he would have staid in GB.

To be blunt I could care less about Adams and all the former Packer players and their jabbering, let's focus on GB and what's now.

The Green Bay Packers signed RB Emanuel Wilson and released K Parker White. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Monday.
Wilson (5-10, 226), an undrafted rookie out of Fort Valley State in Georgia, spent some time with the Denver Broncos earlier this May. He participated in the HBCU Legacy Bowl and the NFLPA Bowl. After starting his college career at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, N.C., Wilson finished with two seasons at FVSU. In 2022, he earned second-team Division II All-America honors from the American Football Coaches Association and was the All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year. Wilson finished 2022 with 1,371 yards on 209 carries (6.6 avg.) with 17 rushing touchdowns, becoming the first 1,000-yard rusher in 18 seasons for the Wildcats. He ranked in the NCAA Division II top 10 in all-purpose yards (No. 6, 161.0 ypg), rushing yards per game (No. 7, 137.1 ypg), rushing yards (No. 7) and rushing TDs (No. 9). Wilson will wear No. 31 for the Packers.

Had to show enough in rookie OTA that he's their guy. Maybe if he bombs in TC you can go and find a unemployed vet which there are several of them out there.
 
Packers signed Jadakis Bonds, released Nick Guggemos.

Bonds (6-3, 206) went undrafted out of Hampton. He holds school records for receiving touchdowns in a single season and both receiving touchdowns and receptions in a career. Over 40 games, Bonds caught 180 passes for 2,731 yards and 34 touchdowns, including 10 scores in 2022
