Packers 2023-24 Season Thread

if this is true, then kudos to murphy for wanting to play to the strengths of his team's most highly compensated athlete. might be the only time i've ever agreed with him.
For arguments sake Murphy should have nothing to do with that decision. Second one could argue that doing that actually cost them because Arod sucked in a lot of playoff games so was he really deserving of that much leeway?

LaFleur said Jordan Love "has complete command of our offense" but also added that "you can't give enough reps."That said, LaFleur said he doesn't want to "wear his arm out." We've got to mindful of that and chart how many throws he gets each and every day.

As for Love's preseason playing time, LaFleur said he could "potentially" see Love get extensive game action.

A possible timeline on Rashan Gary's return from his ACL surgery: Gutekunst mentioned that they will take a look at where he is in the next 2-3 weeks.

frankly, i'm more inclined to believe mlf than mark murphy.
That Shanahan tree is not homogenous. Yes Kyle S will play with 2 TEs and run the hell out of the ball, but McVey is over 90% 11 personnel (which is exactly what Rodgers wanted to do). Which is to say, there may be some projection of hopes and dreams onto ML that isn’t warranted, it’s possible that a lot of what the offense was doing under Rodgers was just what ML wanted to do personnel wise.

That’s not to say that Rodgers wasn’t changing plays and drawing on old plays from years ago, of course he was. But he may not have been influencing personnel and philosophy as much as maybe people think. I guess we’ll find out. To me i think the biggest difference is going to be Love’s play style, his timing, playing in rhythm, and most of all throwing over the middle (which Rodgers just didn’t want to do any more for this team).
