The Green Bay Packers will go on the road to play the Baltimore Ravens at 6:30 p.m. (CDT) on Thursday, Aug. 15.

It marks only the second preseason meeting between the two teams.
The only other preseason game between the two took place in Baltimore in 1996, a 17-15 victory by the Packers.
Green Bay looks to start the preseason 2-0 for the fourth consecutive year.
Last week, the Packers defeated the Houston Texans, 28-26, at Lambeau Field.
Head Coach Matt LaFleur became the seventh head coach in franchise history to win his first game as head coach of the Packers, joining Curly Lambeau, Phil Bengston, Bart Starr, Mike Holmgren, Ray Rhodes and Mike Sherman.
The 28 points put up by Green Bay were the third most by the team in the debut of a new Packers head coach behind 37 put up under Sherman in 2000 and 34 scored under Bengston in 1968.
Overall, Green Bay has won the first preseason game it has played for five straight years.
Green Bay has scored 20-plus points in seven of its last nine preseason contests.
The Packers have won eight consecutive preseason home games and 10 of the last 11 preseason contests played at Lambeau Field.
Next week, the Packers travel north of the border to take on the Oakland Raiders in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. CDT.
It will mark the third time that the Packers have played a preseason game outside the United States. On Aug. 16, 1997, Green Bay defeated the Buffalo Bills, 35-3, in Toronto, Canada and on Aug. 1, 1998, the Packers beat the Kansas City Chiefs, 27-24, in overtime in Tokyo, Japan.

THE PACKERS-RAVENS SERIES

This Packers and Ravens have squared off in the regular season only six times, most recently in a Week 11 victory for Baltimore in 2017.
The Packers won a pair of October clashes at Lambeau Field in 1998 and 2001 as well as a MNF contest at Lambeau in December 2009 and a 2013 Week 6 matchup at M&T Bank Stadium. In addition to their most recent victory, the Ravens won a MNF matchup in Week 15 of 2005.
As the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, these franchises first met in 1953 and played 15 times, including the 1965 NFL Championship at Lambeau Field, RB Jim Brown’s last game. Once the team moved to Baltimore before the 1996 season, the NFL kept the Browns’ records and history in a trust until the Cleveland franchise could return as an expansion team in 1999. Officially, the Baltimore Ravens launched their franchise history in 1996.

These are the things I am looking for in the 2nd preseason game:

AR and the first team offense- Good ball movement and no penalties. It should be two series at the most.

#1 Defense- Is the defensive line all they say it is? I want to see consistent pressure. I also want to see Savage play longer and see what he has at safety. I've heard the talk but have not seen any visual on him.

Kizer and Boyle- Will Kizer continue to be inconsistent? I want to see Kizer go through his progressions and be decisive. Will Boyle extend his lead on Kizer? Boyle needs to take the next step and have a 10-14 150-180 yard day with 2 TDs. I will be watching these two closely.

Some guys will step up, some guys will suck. The people we really want to see won't play...

This is the biggest test game of pre-season, and I'd actually be inclined to play my starters more in this one than game 3. Baltimore is very well coached, they have a strong and deep roster and they're going to take this one seriously so they will be flying around. Who knows what you're going to get with the Raiders the following week, plus who knows what that field is going to be like up there. I'm sure it's fine but I'd feel better about our starters taking the majority of their pre-season reps on a NFL quality professional field.

Against that defense??? Hell no! I am not sure I let Rodgers on the field in street cloths.

Throw him to slaughter against Chicago? Gotta practice live reps some time.

Yes at most Rodgers plays a series throws maybe 1-2 passes and is done.

Rodgers will probably play half then vs Raiders in Canada to help show off the product as I am guessing NFL will be pushing both teams ot have their stars play extended time.
