Heading into 2021 Free Agency the Packers will not have a ton of cap space with the likely event of a flat cap for next year. The team is going to have several starters and key backups hitting free agency.

The top guys who will be free agents will be Kenny Clark, David Bakhtiari, Aaron Jones, Jamal Williams, Kevin King, and Corey Linsley.

It seems Clark is a top priority for the team to sign. After that I would like to see the team bring back Bakhtiari and King. Aaron Jones I think will have his asking price be in the 8-10 million range and that will just be to much for the team to bring back. With the drafting of Dillon that also I think shows the team is looking at letting Jones leave. Linsley while a nice center he too has gotten to expensive to bring back and I think the team is trying to develop a center so they can let Linsley walk next year. Williams if he does not get to much action could maybe return to the team on a cheap deal to be part of a rotation but I think Packers will have a number on him and if he wants more then that he will be allowed to leave. King it seems is becoming a pretty good CB and would want to keep him around. Him and Alexander could be a pretty good pair of CBs for the team. Bakhtiari and Clark we need to keep them both. They are both top end players and we have nothing close to replace either of them.

Like I was told. Maybe the next two years will signal a purge of players who are not seen as long term investment players. That does happen with teams.

If the Packers were to release Turner, Josh Jackson, Lowry, Wagner, Kirksey, and Madison that would free up $20 million in cap space.

Got some good possible UDFA gems this year. If i have time ill do a post.

With no pre-season games will be darn near impossible for a UDFA to make the team this year. Those back end of the roster guys will be behind the eight ball with only having TC practices which are already only one a day with almost no pads not going to allow them to so much.

Iirc they're negotiating for TC. There's some guys i like tho. Even if they get PS'd.

They should have traded Clark during the draft, recoup the capital they spent on Love and then some. Then you keep Bahktiari whatever it takes, try to sign Jones but have a line in the sand, everyone else can go.

Going to disagree there. Value going into free agency will be limited. Have to find a partner with draft equity, cap space and need. And with defense talent already thin no backup

Agree with Pack.
DL guys take longer to develop than OL guys. If it came down to either Bak or Clark to keep it think I’d go with Clark at this juncture.
Age factors in as well.
Bak was a 4th round gem who defied the odds a bit, but they may find his replacement easier than Clark’s.

It takes two to tango of course, I get that, and I know it hurts defensive depth, but I think in terms of contract value and opportunity cost, I don't think Clark offers enough impact to warrant not only the cash he's going to get, but the cap impact in terms of who else will need to be cut or not signed.
