Tom Silverstein has reported that Mo Drayton won't return as ST coordinator in 2022. This is LaFleur's 2nd ST coordinator firing in his 3 seasons as HC. It's a glaring black eye for an other wise excellent coach, and he really needs to be accountable for it next year. Thought we could use a thread dedicated to this (now, unfortunately) perennial issue in GB.

One strong external candidate already came off the board when the Carolina Panthers this week hired former Chicago Bears special teams coordinator Chris Tabor, one of the best special teams coaches in the league.

Knowing GB they will wait 3-4 weeks when everyone else has hired a coach and GB will once again go dumpster diving for coaches in the trash bin.

Well they went the el cheapo route the first two times, let's see who's next, but yes 100% a problem. To be fair a good piece of teams is on the pro personal dept who builds the bottom half of the roster.... buy crap get crap.

Yep Mark I brought this up. 3 years ago they really wanted Miami ST coach who was highly thought of as a ST coach. GB offered him job but at a pay cut. By time they agreed to pay him what he had been making in Miami he told them to go stick it and went to another team.

Whoever they hire needs to get a voice in the personnel room. What would Rizzi do with Wirtel at LS? If that’s what the GM gives you, what good ST guy is gonna sign up for that?
