2021 Off Season Thread

The Gunslinger Arod is not... But sometimes it would be nice for him to get over his trust issues with receivers.
Yep Rodgers has always had a security blanket issue and would force it to his #1 WR instead of throwing to a open option elsewhere

that "security blanket issue" is a big part of why he throws so few interceptions.

Rodgers is not a rookie friendly QB.

For backs, you need to know your blitz pickup assignments. Any given play can kill the franchise QB if you miss, so that limits the amount a guy like Dillon, for example, will see the field, depending on the situation (ahead on the scoreboard vs behind and more likely to have to throw). We’ve seen what Rodgers tends to think about rookie WRs, they need to know their stuff before he accepts you and he’s never been a QB to just throw to the open spot no matter who the receiver is.
Dillon and the whole rookie class never had a chance for mini-camp, OTA’s, and normal TC so things like learning pass-pro became something that have to wait for another day (like this coming off-season).
Call it the CV19 Curse.

and yet, many rookies not selected by gute had fantastic, highly productive seasons.

You just cannot judge a draft class, good or bad after one season. Some kids need a year or 2 and some become one hit wonders.
Not sure he was judging a draft class. In the context of the conversation, I think he was commenting that several rookie RBs contributed more than Dillon. That was my take, anyways.

And how many missed time due to Covid? Taylor , Dobbins , Swift and Akers went before him. And even if Dillion was healthy he’s not going to get Taylor or Dobbins type snaps

I think Dillon is fine. Small sample size but I liked what he showed. Was an odd year for rookies and I think he even had covid, right? I have a feeling we'll get to see a lot more of him this year.

That’s my point , he missed a lot of time due to Covid. How many backs drafted after him contributed?

I couldn't even guess. Maybe, Moss or Gibson off the top of my head. Other than that, not sure.
