2025 Packers UDFA Thread

Jamon Dumas-Johnson, affectionately known as "Pop", hails from Prince George's County, Maryland. A standout at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Dumas-Johnson was a four-star recruit and the nation's 10th-ranked linebacker. His high school career was highlighted by an 11-1 record in his junior year, propelling St. Frances to the No. 3 national ranking. Dumas-Johnson's talent and charisma even caught the attention of HBO, featuring him in their documentary "The Cost of Winning".

Dumas-Johnson's collegiate journey began at Georgia, where he quickly made his mark. As a true freshman in 2021, he contributed in 14 games, racking up 22 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks. His sophomore campaign was nothing short of spectacular, starting all 15 games and finishing as the team's second-leading tackler with 70 stops, including team-highs of 9.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks. This performance earned him finalist status for the Butkus Award and First-Team All-American honors from Sporting News and ESPN.

In his junior year, Dumas-Johnson started nine games before a forearm injury sidelined him. Despite the setback, he managed 34 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks. After three seasons and two national championships with the Bulldogs, Dumas-Johnson transferred to Kentucky for his senior year, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a reputation as a physical, high-motor linebacker with a knack for making impact plays.

So Mark you think he can be a guy to push McDuffie out after next season and take over as a starting LB?

sometimes it's better to be lucky....they see what philly is doing. UGA D is built to create Chaos.... monkey see monkey do
I think Colby Wooden's position is very, very precarious right now. Karl Brooks too, maybe, but at leas Brooks has been productive.

next season? Hell no...he should start at MLB this year. He called the D for 2 national championship teams. Let him fly downhill with his UGA teammate and create almighty hell.... they can do it. The Packers just fell into an amazing situation.

Clark is a very likely candidate to get cut next off-season. He's going to be 31 years old with one year left on contract and GB needing to clear cap space.

Reading more about Stackhouse, I would be shocked if they didnt offer him draft pick money to sign with them.
Green Bay had money to spend on UDFA since they did not trade back and get another couple draft picks.

he's a tough SOB.... tough vs the run but he'll give centers a fit vs the pass. Can two gap all day..you can fill with his rotational player at UGA that was drafted. Perfect storm
Any reason he didn’t get drafted? Or just not lucky the way the draft fell?

not really...he should have but there are a ton of guys in that program. Stackhouse rotated in/out like the rest. If you can get these guys in/out they will beat the almighty heck out of people.....JDJ played more than any of them as he called the defense for 2 yrs. He didn't play on a great UK team ...hurt him.
