Davante Traded!?

Why would we want MVS back? He can't stay healthy and even when he is healthy we've been waiting 4 years on the breakout that never happens. Agree hard pass and get a really good rookie WR that ML likes.
Shows you how overvauled MVS and his agent are right now. He's not signed with anyone so teams are waiting for his price tag to fall

And I'll say again, which was on shout the other night if someone thinks Adams is "just a guy", they aren't watching what he's doing as an individual, they're just assuming the majority of his stats are provided by Rodgers.

James Jones went to Oakland for a season and had his career high in receptions.

Jordy Nelson left the Packers and had 10 more catches and 250 more yards than he had the previous season.

Cobb went for 55/828 his year in Dallas, then played through injuries (gasp!) in Houston before coming back

Greg Jennings..... Jennings got hurt. Missed most of his age 29 season in Green Bay, and then had 2 decent, not great years in Minnesota, clearly decline seasons, and one more year in Miami where he didn't do much at all, and then was out of the league.

If the argument is "Adams is about to turn 30 and the Packers shouldn't commit that much money to a guy in his 30 -34 age seasons", I absolutely agree. But these guys haven't left Green Bay and absolutely tanked. They've been productive elsewhere, with decent and mediocre QB's. Usually in what would be considered decline-age seasons for WR's. I've never really bought that Rodgers makes receivers better.

The Raiders will throw the ball 600 times next year. Are we going off the assumption that a healthy Adams won't get 140 - 180 targets? Carr is definitely not Aaron Rodgers, but he does have a 65% completion rate for his career, and usually throws for 4000+

Assuming you believe what his ask really is.

Adams is amazing at what he does. We wanted to keep him, he wanted to go play for the Raiders and in my opinion he's earned that right to play where he wants to be.

We got some compensation both in the areas of cap relief and draft picks, and we'll have to use that compensation to improve as much as we can both at WR and elsewhere to make the best of the situation and still be Super Bowl contenders.

That's my take.

I believe had GB offered him ths deal year ago he would ahve taken it I think GB dragged feet and tried to lowball him
What deal? The one that’s been “reported”?

They let him test the market for a reason.

I think he soured on the team, believing all of Aaron's sound bites. Ended up wanting to hang with Carr.
