Yeah but enough $$$ can mean screw educationIt’s part of it. B1G presidents like AAU schools. It’s the “educational” part of it.

With USC & UCLA B1G will pay each school $100m each with the new TV deal. About the only big fish out there that has value to add to that is Notre Dame.Yeah but enough $$$ can mean screw education
For what reason? Sure Houston is nice TV market but at the end of the day it’s still would rather have SF market (Stanford or Cal). Now if you could get the Dallas market (unlikely) yeah that a valid.Well with TX gone to SEC Big Ten would be smart to get a foot print in TX IMO
The B1G presidents and chancellors will never use that phrase. GuaranteedYeah but enough $$$ can mean screw education
U of Houston is joining the Big 12 so that ship has sailedAgree Houston is a major metro city they brought on Univ of Houston that is a huge market for Big Ten
I could see them try to add a Big 12 schoolWith USC & UCLA B1G will pay each school $100m each with the new TV deal. About the only big fish out there that has value to add to that is Notre Dame.
Houston I think would jump at chance to go to Big 10 more money to be madeU of Houston is joining the Big 12 so that ship has sailed
ND could drag there feet also until next yearPersonally based on what “rumors” are floating out there and some tea leaves, until ND decides one way or another not much is happening.
Most think the SEC stays where they are. Institutions need them more than they need to add anyone.
B1G is all about ND and if they eventually say no, then they have to decide who if any bring value
ACC is in a bad spot. The Media rights deal is horrible and they can’t add anyone of value. The Grant In Rights are pretty rock solid and really schools are stuck
PAC 12 can make it work, how their media rights negotiations fall out will / might force the next domino to drop
Big 12 is in a similar spot to the ACC
Might never use it but sure will think it. Money to be made screw educationThe B1G presidents and chancellors will never use that phrase. Guaranteed
