The Green Bay Packers will take on the San Diego Chagers at Lambeau Field on Sunday. It will be the Chargers’ fifth visit to Green Bay and first since 2007.
Green Bay is 9-1 all-time against San Diego, including 3-1 at Lambeau Field.
The Packers have won six straight over the Chargers. San Diego last beat Green Bay in 1984.
The last two games between the two teams (2007, 2011) were both decided by a touchdown.
The Packers have scored 30-plus points in each of the last five games against the Chargers (45, 31, 38, 31, 42).
This will be the second-latest date that the Chargers have visited Lambeau Field. The latest in the year they have played in Green Bay was Nov. 24, 1974, a 34-0 victory by the Packers.
Sunday will be the second time QBs Aaron Rodgers and Philip Rivers have faced each other. In the only other matchup, Green Bay won at San Diego, 45-38, in 2011 and Rodgers recorded a passer rating of 145.8 by completing 21 of 26 passes for 247 yards and four touchdowns. Rivers racked up 385 yards passing by completing 26 of 46 passes with four touchdowns, three interceptions and a passer rating of 85.9.
Green Bay is 5-0 for the first time since 2011 (13-0) and for the second time under Head Coach Mike McCarthy. It is the Packers’ fourth 5-0 start since 1945 (10-0 in 1962 and 6-0 in 1965).
Green Bay has won its first three home games for the third consecutive season.
The Packers are one of three NFC teams (Atlanta, Carolina) still undefeated this season and one of six in the NFL (Cincinnati, Denver, New England).
Green Bay has won seven straight games in the regular season and 12 of its last 13.
Green Bay has won 12 straight home games (including playoffs), the longest active home winning streak in the NFL. It is the second-longest home winning streak of the McCarthy era (13, 2010-11).
Green Bay has scored in the first quarter in 21 straight regular-season games, the longest current streak in the league.
Dating back to 2014, Green Bay has outscored its opponents, 134-24, in the first quarter at Lambeau Field, and has held double-digit leads in eight of 11 games. The Packers have held their opponents scoreless in eight of 11 contests.
Green Bay has won the last four games at Lambeau Field when it has led into the bye week (2007, 2008, 2010, 2012).
The Packers will be on the bye in Week 7, returning to action in Week 8 with a primetime game at Denver.
WITH THE CALL
CBS will broadcast the game to a regional audience with play-by-play man Jim Nantz and analyst Phil Simms handling the call from the broadcast booth and Tracy Wolfson reporting from the sidelines.
Milwaukee’s WTMJ (620 AM), airing Green Bay games since November 1929, heads up the Packers Radio Network that is made up of 50 stations in five states. Wayne Larrivee (play-by-play) and two-time Packers Pro Bowler Larry McCarren (color) call the action. McCarren first joined the team’s broadcasts in 1995 and enters his 21st season calling Packers’ games. McCarren has four times been voted Wisconsin Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. After originally being paired together in 1999, McCarren and Larrivee enter their 17th season of broadcasts together.
Westwood One Sports will air the game across the country. John Sadak (play-by-play) and Mark Malone (analyst) will call the action, with Scott Graham hosting the pregame and halftime shows.
The broadcast is also available on Sirius Satellite Radio (WTMJ feed) as part of the network’s NFL Sunday Drive.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR
The Packers will debut a new, historic third jersey this Sunday against the Chargers. The jersey, a re-creation of the team's uniform from 1927-48, will be navy blue and gold, and will include a gold yoke across the shoulders with faded gold pants and high navy socks.
Green Bay is 7-3 when wearing a third jersey, including winning each of the last four games (2010, 2011, 2013, 2014) and six of the last seven. In the four wins in the third jersey since 2010, the Packers have outscored their opponents, 142-52.
Green Bay is looking to start 6-0 for the first time since 2011 (13-0) and for the second time under Head Coach Mike McCarthy. The Packers have started 6-0 three times since 1945 (10-0 in 1962 and 6-0 in 1965).
The Packers’ 20 sacks this season are their most through five games since 21 in 2010. The 20 are also tied with 1970 for fourth most by Green Bay since team sacks began to be recorded in 1963 behind only 1978 (23), 2001 (21) and 2010.
Green Bay has registered a sack in 40 consecutive regular-season games, a franchise record and the longest current streak in the league.
The Packers look to allow 10 or fewer points for the third game in a row. It would be the first time they accompished the feat since 2010 (zero at NYJ, Oct. 31 / seven vs. DAL, Nov. 7 / three at MIN, Nov. 21).
After seven sacks against Kansas City, six at San Francisco and three versus St. Louis, Green Bay’s defense looks to record three or more sacks in four consecutive games for the first time since 2013 (three vs. PHI, Nov. 10 / four at NYG, Nov. 17 / six vs. MIN, Nov. 24).
OFFENSE
If QB Aaron Rodgers throws for 300-plus yards, it will be the 42nd 300-yard passing game of his career during the regular season.
Dating back to 2014, Rodgers has not thrown an interception in 17 of the last 21 regular-season games, including six of the last seven. The Packers are 16-1 in those games.
Since the start of the 2014 season, Rodgers has thrown 51 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Rodgers is 186 passing yards away from 30,000 for his career.
WR Randall Cobb needs one reception to extend his streak of consecutive regular-season games with a reception to 46.
Dating back to last season (with Oakland in 2014), WR James Jones has registered a touchdown reception in six of the last eight games. He has totaled seven touchdown receptions over that span.
Jones ranks No. 1 in the NFL with seven receptions of 25-plus yards this season. His career high for 25-yard receptions in a season is eight in 2013. Jones has also recorded seven in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Jones has recorded a touchdown reception in all three home games this season.
WR Ty Montgomery has two touchdown receptions in the last three games.
DEFENSE
LB Clay Matthews led the team with 1.5 sacks in the win over St. Louis in Week 4. Since Week 8 last season, Matthews has recorded at least one sack in 10 of the last 14 games.
Matthews is looking to register one or more sacks for the fourth consecutive game. It would tie for the longest streak of his career in a single regular season (Games 11-14, 2009 / Games 13-16, 2014).
Matthews has 13 career games with two or more sacks. He is one shy of tying Tim Harris (14, 1986-90) for No. 3 in team history (Reggie White, 16; Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, 15).
LB Julius Peppers is tied with Matthews for the team lead with 4.5 sacks this season. Dating back to last season (including playoffs), Peppers has nine sacks in the last nine games.
The Packers are one of three teams to have two players with at least four sacks this season (CIN: Carlos Dunlap, five and Geno Atkins, four / TB: Gerald McCoy, 4.5 and Jacquies Smith, four).
LB Nick Perry has 3.5 sacks in the last three games.

The Chargers were the hosts for the Packers’ first-ever appearance on Monday Night Football, on Oct. 12, 1970. The Packers won, 22-20, on a 14-yard Dale Livingston field goal with 3:39 remaining.
Their second meeting, at Lambeau Field in 1974, was won by the Packers, 34-0, and became Dan Devine’s final victory in his four-year tenure as Green Bay head coach.
One of the more bizarre contests in Packers history was played in San Diego on Sept. 14, 1978. With a temperature of 102 degrees at kickoff (tied for the highest in Packers history), the teams combined for 18 sacks, including 10 by the Chargers. The Packers also created 11 turnovers - five interceptions (four by Willie Buchanon to tie a league record) and six fumble recoveries - in a 24-3 Green Bay victory.
