This is all fair. I think with Hobbs' injury history, you hope for the best but have to assume he misses ~3 games give or take a year, that's just who he's been. But just read that again, because it means you know your preferred starter is going to miss time, which puts emphasis on depth. Ideally you need 3 good CBs, but really now you need 4. Speaking only for myself, I'm just frustrated with the approach to CB over the last couple years, it's left us with a group that needs to be hidden in the game plan. Gute started off his tenure investing pretty highly in the position but after a couple flops we have just been trying to get by with scraps and castaways, and it's frustrating to see other teams invest at those positions and see it pay off big time for them. I like the demeanor of these guys and they've done OK in camp drills but you can just see that they're going to get exposed and burned sooner than later. It's tough to make a living as a defense if you can't afford for a single one of your corners to get isolated on a crossing route one single time.Sorry Guys. But I don't see these things as a big deal. Better to take care of things before the season. And maybe that's not the point. The point is that they are injured. I get that. I just don't agree. Why not take a chance? As long as they are good players and the injuries are not serious.
