Well, the second preseason game was pretty lackluster, afaic. :)

The tackling was substandard, and Boyle looked pretty bad with the exception of one drive.

Lazard and Bolton did well.

Hopefully the coaches have some interesting film. )ZZ

D+ game sloppy sloppy sloppy couple guys looked good like Lazard and Bolton. Some guys average like Shepard, GMO, Kumerow. Way to many looked bad. This is something that ML says nothing when he goes into the locker room jsut get dressed get your butts on the plane and expect a very hard practice week before week 3 game.

I actually think games like this provide an eye opening for the team; a wake up call for what they can improve on.

Agree 100%, The first team O and D weren't perfect but it was the depth that should be cause for concern in certain positions. ML struggled as a OC vs Baltimore last year.... they match up vs this scheme incredibly well.

I think it was a valuable night for the staff to evaluate personal and for ML to see some of the issues that have plagued us before.... have to change the culture and it's not a fast process, can't stress that enough.

Tackeling issue is this something from college that is not being taught anymore? Because you figure something so basic would be refind there or heck even high school. You would figure by NFL you would not have to go over the basics of how to make a tackle.

Kizer remains a better option than Boyle and neither are good enough, IMO.
Summers a good player who misses way too many tackles.
Is ESB really a better player than Lazard? Is Davis really a better option than Shepherd?
Nothing from Gary again. Really early, but man he likes to just go through the motions sometimes.
Bolton played really well.

Agreed on Kizer and Boyle. While Boyle seems like he has the complete package as far as poise, arm strength, etc. he's just not improving enough in pass completions. Kizer just feels like "let's get something for that Randall disaster".

Ty Summers is a gosh darn superstar! Look at his stats at TCU. Immediate NFL superstar. sc))

Still early and I think the first 25 are fine on this roster.
