Yes after 3 years you can sign a QB to a ext so that would be possible if you decide to pass on the 5th year option you could extend him

It does/would, but I still go back to my earlier point, is that pride a good enough reason to hitch your wagon to someone you don't think can play or win? I don't think it is.

It depends on your level of commitment. If you are split in house maybe you ride it

GB though has past history of that with Ted not letting himself admit his picks were mistakes. Can Gute avoid doing that?
 
Just so we are clear here, I am not in favor of giving Aaron anything beyond a 2 yr guarantee. I didn't like that BS when Favre was pining for it.... don't think we need to give in to Aaron. You could get the Aaron of last year or 4 years of the 16/17 Rodgers.... so nope not a fan of that idea.
