Rodgers Wants Out

I think you're right on this. This whole thing doesn't seem thought out and planned.
Well it was planned when they drafted Love. The timing was turning the keys over in 2022 but “someone threw a wrench in that plan” by having an MVP year and they did not know how to pivot. Now they are in a major rock and a hard place

Planned as in assesing all the risks, weighing downsides, and getting everyone on the same page going forward.

I think Rodgers should have been involved. Scratch that one off.

But now it seems they just took Love without any thought of the reaction of their Hall Of Fame QB and without any thought of what to do if it went south

of course they're not. i don't think there even is a page.
The page was written on draft day last year, now some are second guessing and playing Monday morning QB in the FO. As an organization you need to be committed to “The Plan”. One season should not change that but clearly it did. That’s on management

No Rodgers should not have been involved, he’s not the GM, he’s not on the BOD, he’s not the HC. You make the plan , you stay committed to the plan. It’s a business

Just think. If Rodgers had a ho-hum year, and the Packers finished 8-8, we probably wouldn't be seeing any of this happening.

I'll add in a 4th/5th voice to all of this - league owners. Are some of them in the ear of the Packers FO trying to get them to hold the line. Owners don't want to give up their "ownership" rights via "extortion" like this, especially on high value players like this. If AR manages to force himself out, who's next. This might be another force at play in all this.

If the Packers trade AR after making a reasoned determination that JLove is good to go, then it was the Packers decision. A much different scenario than AR being the one in control.

Exactly. I also need to believe that they had to be realizing that he was having an MVP year and, at that point, should have/would have discussed the ramifications and contingency plan. If they weren't assessing the situation on the fly, then they are grossly incompetent as some have speculated.

Valid point. But how many owner’s? I am sure there are some who would love 12 under center for their teams. But remember what Jones said “the league loves controversy”
