Well after Ted left MM put himself in charge so now he can overrule anyone be it Gute or ML on a choice they make. Really since wolf the GM had the final say in things.

coaches do not have time to scout college players. i have a hard time believing murphy allowed ml to have any more input than the 16-year face of the franchise.

Coaches also watch film. Yes and the input is heavily weighed. The face of the franchise is not running the show but he thinks he does.

Well after Ted lost a lot of the guys he trusted after the SB I don't think he had much of a value for his scouts. Ted pretty much watched the tape to make his own judgements.
