The Green Bay Packers travel to Washington to play the Redskins in the second game of a three-game road trip.
The Packers hold a 20-14-1 advantage in the overall series with Washington, including a 2-1 record in the playoffs.
Including the postseason, Green Bay has won six of the last seven games against Washington, outscoring the Redskins by 107 points in those contests. Five of the Packers’ six victories over Washington during that time were decided by 14-plus points.
Green Bay last faced the Redskins in last January’s Wild Card playoff game in Washington, a 35-18 Packers victory.
It is the first time the Packers have played at Washington in back-to-back seasons.
This is the Packers’ third appearance this season on Sunday Night Football, having lost, 17-14, at Minnesota in Week 2 and won, 23-17, against the New York Giants at Lambeau Field in Week 5.
Dating back to 1990, the Packers are 24-10 in Sunday night games during the regular season, including 12-8 under Head Coach Mike McCarthy. Of the 34 games, 18 have been played on the road, and Green Bay is 11-7 in those contests.
It will be the first time Green Bay and Washington will play against each other on Sunday Night Football, but is the fourth time they have faced off in primetime. The previous three contests were on Monday Night Football with the Packers winning both games in Green Bay (1983 and 2001) and the Redskins winning the game in Washington (1977).
Nov. 20 is the latest date on the calendar that Green Bay and Washington have met during the regular season since 1979, when they played on Dec. 2 at Washington.
Under McCarthy, Green Bay is 83-42-1 during the regular season against NFC opponents. The Packers’ 83 wins and .663 winning percentage both rank No. 1 among NFC teams over that span.
Green Bay is 35-27 on the road against NFC teams since 2006, a .565 winning percentage that ranks No. 2 in the NFC, trailing only the Dallas Cowboys (37-26, .587).
The Packers have scored 23 or more points in six of the last seven games. Dating back to Week 3, they are tied for the third-most 23-plus point games in the NFL, trailing only Atlanta and Dallas who each have seven (according to pro-football-reference.com).
Green Bay has had one or more players record 10-plus receptions in four of the last five games.
The Packers are playing three road games in a row for the first time since 2012 and only the third time in the last 19 seasons (also 1998).
Green Bay will next travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles on Monday Night Football. It is the last of five primetime games that were scheduled for Green Bay this season. The Packers were 2-1 in their first three primetime games this season.

NBC will broadcast the game to a national audience. Play-by-play man Al Michaels joins analyst Cris Collinsworth in the booth with Michele Tafoya reporting from the sidelines.
Milwaukee’s WTMJ (620 AM), airing Green Bay games since November 1929, heads up the Packers Radio Network that is made up of 50 stations in five states. Wayne Larrivee (play-by-play) and two-time Packers Pro Bowler Larry McCarren (analyst) call the action. McCarren first joined the team’s broadcasts in 1995 and enters his 22nd season calling Packers games. After originally being paired together in 1999, McCarren and Larrivee enter their 18th season of broadcasts together.
Westwood One Sports will air the game on radio across the country. Kevin Kugler (play-by-play) and James Lofton (analyst) will call the action, with Scott Graham hosting the pregame and halftime shows.

THE PACKERS-REDSKINS SERIES
The Packers first met the Redskins (then Boston Braves) in 1932, five days after Franklin D. Roosevelt won his first presidential election.
The two clubs met several times in the early years, most memorably in the 1936 NFL championship game. That year, Redskins owner George Preston Marshall, upset with his fans’ lack of support, was moving his team to Washington and didn’t want to host the championship in Boston. So, the NFL moved the game to New York’s Polo Grounds, where Green Bay claimed its fourth title, 21-6.
The Packers and Redskins played the highest-scoring game in Monday Night Football history on Oct. 17, 1983, at Lambeau Field, in a game that featured 11 TDs and six FGs in the 48-47 Green Bay win.
Despite playing in the same conference, the Packers and Redskins did not play against each other during the 1990s.
