Packers 2023-24 Season Thread

Watson showed enough that WR1 or WR2 is his space. 87 was non existent after the injury so not sure IT’s health or the rookie wall or both. Also DB’s can pick up tendencies. Watsons pure speed makes him a threat

I agree.

Doubs is 5th round pick for a reason. I wouldn't be surprised if he is a WR3. I think we need to draft another. Or at least a solid TE.

Doubs was hampered by the injury, and because there wasn't enough time to work him back into the rotation, before the season ended. Don't read anything in to it being anything else.

He and Watson are going to end up being one of the better pairs of receivers in the league, "if" they have someone at QB, who can get them the ball.

The guy I think fans overrate because he did nothing is Toure. He at best is a 5/6 I think 7th round pick that did nothing to get into games besides injuries or garbage time.

The Packers have drafted 37 WR's since 1990 in the 3rd round or after and only 3 have turned into something better then a 3rd or 4th WR. They are James Jones, Antonio Freeman, and Donald Driver. Donald is the only one after round 3 that did anything significant since Jones and Freeman were picked in the 3rd rounds.

Fans always get excited over seeing a few plays happen by these later round picks in their first years in the NFL but nothing actually happens in the long run because they were drafted in the later rounds for a reason and they do not take the jump the 2nd year.

I am hoping you are right TW but honestly I would not be surprised if Doubs falls off next year or he is just in the 3rd WR spot.

Doubs has talent. It most likely was a combination of hitting the rookie wall and injuries.

If Rodgers returns I can see Cobb be brought back If he comes back you will have Watson, Doubs, Cobb, Toure, a draft pick or two and maybe a UDFA.

If Cobb is not back then I can see them sign a vet WR late in FA for cheap like they did Sammy.

That's a sobering stat
