It's not a question of the injury itself as it is an accumulation of injuries, all of which steal just a little more mobility. It's like RBs, and the numbers of hits they take leading to their footwork being slower, and their ability to use their speed and agility like they did. The days of plodding elephant offensive linemen is gone I'm afraid. It's a single sprained MCL for Jenkins. Aaron Jones has had 2 or 3 sprained MCL's and come back just fine. Jenkins is only 27 so it seems reasonable to think he'll come back just fine. Now, if this "sprained" MCL lingers on and on, then I'd be keeping my eye on him to see how he looks when he comes back.
If he comes back, and is highly productive, I'd be pleased. But, if he comes back and doesn't grade out high enough to be a force out there, the money he'd get doesn't make it worth keeping him. It's all about ROI.
