Post Game Packers Slip by Redskins 20-15

Not surprising at all. The talent on this team is much closer to 8-5 than 10-3. Issues at WR are glaring and so is TE and unless the rush gets home the secondary is average. I know some the blame is on 12 and rightfully so but if it’s anyone else behind center this offense would be in worse shape. This has been a work in progress from week 1 and we all (or most of us) knew this was a 2 cycle fix. Playing with house money.

Didn't get a chance to see the game. I'll have to check out the highlights and pressers but at least it was a win. Still a few games left to improve and work out a few kinks.

It was a win, but a totally underwhelming performance. They better be much better next week against the Bear defense - though you probably don't have to score a bunch of points to win that game. As was said above, this team is not as talented as their record would indicate.

We are the anti-Cowboys right now. Dallas is top ten in offense and defense and have a losing record. We are bottom ten in both categories (with some notable outliars, such as redzone performance on both sides of the ball) but 10-3(!). That tells me two things: 1.) There is something beyond the stats that is helping the team win, some sense of the game that allows them to do enough to win - that's a credit to the coach and player leadership, and 2.) Having a lopsided record in close games is one of those things that evens out over time, so unless there's a nice influx of talent in some key areas on O and D next year, they are a prime candidate for a "revert to the mean" season. Despite the record this year I think we're better off with a good chunk of turnover again this offseason.

Aaron needs to e execute the offense rather than going off schedule and trying to force the ball to his friends, especially Graham.

On defense, they need to stop the run adequately. Not sure what Montravius's problem is. Today Pettine experimented with Zadarius at ILB, although he was rushing from there, which meant Martinez was the coverage guy by default.

Pettine needs to go. Today we played a team that featured a crippled rookie QB who should be on the bench, and sent one of their good RBs to the bench early. They still went up and down the field on Pettine's D. ML has to be pulling his hair out. All the money and draft picks are on the D side, ML is trying to get his offense going and the guys just need reps, they need opportunities. Instead they're getting cold on the sideline for long stretches because any team, at any moment, in any location, in any weather, can get 6 yards against this D whenever they want it.

Translation: this team has holes and lacks talent at skill positions and depth

I liked the new punt returner. #ntj

Worst punt return team in NFL history had 27 yards on the season. We had what, -8 going in? Dude got 51 yards of PR on the day, pulled us out of the gutter.

Ervin would return four punts for 51 yards with a long of 18 in Sunday’s 20-15 victory over Washington, and several set up the Packers in good field position. Ervin’s returns set up the Packers at midfield (touchdown), the Washington 48, the Green Bay 43 (touchdown) and the Washington 49.

Washington linebacker Jon Bostic took that mantle this week. Asked by local media how to stop the Packers' offense, Bostic said Washington needed to make Green Bay one dimensional. That one dimension? Stop the run, not the pass.

Make Aaron Rodgers beat you.

Aaron is always described as "most talented" of all time, or "best thrower of the football." It's time to stop the bullshit and just be the BEST.
