Official 2020 Week 3 Green Bay vs New Orleans Thread

Bringing up Darius Shepherd tells you all you need to know.
But if they wait that long, why not IR him for 3 weeks and fill a roster spot?

they've been having problems keeping up to the 53-man limit as it is. no need to create another hole to fill with a player that will never see the field.

Because would he not have to sit out 3 games? If he only misses the Saints and Falcons then has the bye week to recover he's back week 6 playing instead of having to sit that game out.

GB talking about letting Adams play and Clark will play. Big young coaching mistake...it's a marathon, not a sprint. Sit them both and get healthy.tc(

Agreed. Hope it's just gamesmanship and ML will pull the plug at game time

I don't understand what coaches are thinking at times. They're risking the players' future, all because they feel fear that they might lose one game. They'll throw away entire seasons by making this mistake. I still believe that having Rodgers playing injured hurt his game, and has left residual problems in his mechanics, which were never that great to start with.

or . . . both players were never really that banged up to begin with and were simply held out as a precaution when it was obvious that we could get by without them, and now that we are facing a more legitimate foe, they are being brought back into action. that's my hope.

I hope you're right. They could make the difference between a W and L.

Clark is the bigger need, IMO. If he's healthy enough to play, he should play.......BUT, put him on a snap count. Set his number of plays and don't exceed it. They brought up Winn, so let him take up some of that slack. Be smart about how you use Clark if you let him play.

As for Davante, as I posted earlier, last year the Packers went 4-0 when Davante had to sit with his turf toe issue, and that was in a "learning curve" year for all the players on this offense.

This year I have more confidence that AR & Co. can manage his absence for a couple of weeks, and especially given how well the offense has performed the first two weeks.

I'm sure hoping that's the case. ML and staff seem like a bright bunch so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The Pack needs those 2 healthy for the long haul.
