Post Game Thread: New England defeats Green Bay

Nothing went wrong in this game that wasn't directly attributable to Mike McCarthy. An undisciplined, predictable, inconsistent, mistake prone team. That's all on the HC and his staff. Pats had a great scheme drawn up but I was impressed with the D and MP for holding things together with turf and spit for three quarters as starters were dropping out of the game like flies.

Wring your hands and clutch your pearls all you want. Wring 'em! Mike McCarthy is GONE after this year.

When a team is frustrated, and doesn't have an answer to what's happening to them on the field, they make dumb mistakes, and coaching errors are magnified. Then you watch as receivers become "spectators," figuring they aren't going to get the ball anyway. Jimmy Graham has spent more time as a spectator than a receiver. Apparently the only time he works a route well is when he's one of the top 2 in the pecking order.

This team will not change, nor will it be a consistent winner, no matter who they grab in the draft, or free agency, because their offense and defense have become totally predictable, and out of date like wearing brimmed hats.

If Murphy doesn't find the courage to dump the entire crew, and start over, he should be sent packing too. This team is in total disarray, and it can only get worse. Eventually, we won't even have Rodgers to make the Packers appear mediocre at best.
I kinda like brimmed hats!
I wish they’d make a comeback.

The Packers in their last 10 games started by Aaron Rodgers: 3-6-1.
The Packers in 10 games with Brett Hundley: 3-7.

The Packers are a 1/2 game better with Rodgers.

Five of the last 7 wins with Rodgers, needed miraculous Rodgers' comebacks.

LATER CORRECTED HUNDLEY TO 3-6 and noted HUNDLEY PLAYED MAJORITY OF CLAVICLE INJURY GAME AT MINN

I was literally laughing when they pulled Jones. A good HC schemes ways to use Adams and Jones. Schemes them into momentum etc. Uses misdirections and trickery to get others open off these usages. Big Mac, nah....Just do a straight line route with a 7 step dropback.
Brings back memories when MH schemed to get Sharpe open when Favre had barely any options could count on, yet MM sucks at it

Remember Favre telling story how Sharpe would tell him just throw him the dam ball does not matter if he's covered he will get open and Favre said most of the time he did.

Consider you've been running the same scheme more or less 13 years. Bud said it one post earlier it's stale. Why not go get a young HC with an all new staff. I know people here are enamored with MP on defense but we've had the pressure 34 for a while too... change it all up. Bring things no one expects.

That only works short term.as teams figure out counter measures. The Coach B's of the world or old school Bill Walsh found ways to adapt schemes on D and change things up on O. Something MM has failed at badly.

Bill Walsh also said that a HC should not be on the job more than 7-10 years as his message gets stale. It has in GB

Don't worry. We'll get that cleaned up ! Be Pawstive

Another failure of MM is to not admit that his system isn't a plug and play system. One of the best things BB does is look at his roster and game plan with who he has. If he doesn't have a WR that can stretch the field he either a) doesn't try it and game plans with who he has or b) goes out and gets one.

Mm is the guy you read about who drives his car into a lake because his GPS says turn here despite the obvious fact there's a lake there.
