That's kinda what I was alluding to in one of my posts. Love sits for his first 4 years, what is the 5th year option? Something that can be negotiated? I'm unfamiliar with that stuff.

Anyways, if they pick up a 5th year option, and AR is still on the team, what kind of future does Love really have at that point?

No you need to decide to pick up 5th year after his 3rd year you pass he becomes a FA after year 4. If picked up for a QB by that time will be a fully guaranteed $25+ million.

I guess what I'm saying is, I don't give a tuppenny podo( about Love and his fifth year option, it's a non-issue.

Agreed. On the flip side, at that point, you moved up to round 1, cashed in draft capital, to pick a kid who rode the pine for his 4 years. That's gotta sting a bit.

This year no but I do think GB wants Love starting in 2022 that way they can judge if he's worth the 5th year or not.

Which gives you time. It does not stop them from rework of his deal
