i have to disagree with that. if he decides to play for the packers this year, he's going to want to maximize his market value for when they cut him loose after the season ends.

I'm with you. It's going to be one story line, with unnamed sources, regurgitated 70 different ways to get clicks, views, whatever.
 
Yep Rodergs is going to play because he won't want to lose money and have to give money back to the team. He might act like a 2 year old told no and throw a tantrum but he will play and GB will then likely trade him after 2021.

The “2021 and beyond” part just makes me convinced they are incapable of resolving this. I get it’s a bunch of PR gibberish but just leave it at “we are committed to resolving things”. Obviously they think money and an extension will solve this and maybe so, but an extension is not in the best interest of the organization past 2021

when they say "2021 and beyond" they mean one of three things:

1) the 2021 season technically extends into 2022;
2) they are talking about the relationship post-retirement;
3) they are having buyer's remorse with regard to jordan love.

4) they are incapable of understanding what is at the core of the problem and they don’t know what the hell to do
 
2021 and beyond aka if he's playing well but we won't guarantee anything.
