100% agree on Harden. What’s been a bit perplexing to me is the 3 point shots have not fallen. The looks are there. I’ve felt that the short breaks in the Brooklyn and Atlanta series did not help get their legs back so maybe that’s part of the issue. Could also be just playoff pressure
I still believe it's ball movement. The Bucks seem to shoot better in rhythm, not when they set up for a shot, and wait for the ball. I see that in so many NBA players, because they aren't comfortable shooting from a stationary position. I noticed that the majority of even those on the sidelines are when they step back, or take a step left or right to avoid pressure. If they have time to think, the ball goes everywhere except in the net.
I know I was horrible as a flat footed shooter. I was better from the field under pressure than when I got a jumper with no pressure at all. My trajectory flattened out too much without someone to challenge. I had to work like the dickens to overcome it at the foul line, and did it by putting a volley ball net across the lane in front of me, at a height that made me get loft on the ball. It added 20% to my average. Every time I started slipping, back came the net.
By the way, I used that same net to train myself at 5-11 to pay center against guys 6" or more taller than me, and still score. It worked. I'd outscore my taller opponents about half the time, and was never totally dominated, even by a guy who was 6-10. He outscored me 20+ to 13, but he was used to outscoring his opposite number by 20 or more every game. We split with them that year.
