2022 Badger Football Thread

So a crappy 2023 class just got even crappier. WI ranks 61st in nation and 13th in Big Ten only ahead of IU which has only 9 committs for 2023.
No shock. Kid is from Vegas and got an Oregon offer.

They still have not filled the staff cuts form Covid FWIW which I don’t understand. Not sure who is to blame there but it has an impact
well regardless of who gets the job in the end, they better get off the pot because this is a bad recipe long-term.

The good news..coaches have been on the road all week. The bad news, it’s difficult to make a pitch with uncertainty. Early signing period begins 12/21 and I would hope that McIntosh has some clarity by then.

He will not, Chris continues to say they will do a full search after the season is over.

Kekahuna is not a huge surprise. Three star kid who played most of his HS football in Honolulu, Hawaii. Transferred to Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas for his senior year. That school/team gets a lot more attention from college recruiters and so he got more attention. With the new attention he was getting in his senior season at a higher profile school, I'm surprised he didn't decommit earlier. He was probably going to pay attention to his new suitors no matter what happened with Chryst and the coaching situation at UW. No doubt an Oregon offer is pretty tempting.

I get that’s what he says publicly but I don’t buy that’s the party line internally. The fact that they hired a search firm leads me to believe that the vetting process is well underway. Also the job post will only be for 1 week, not the historical 30 day timeline in the past. When it gets posted will be a tell

Plus he's a wide receiver. He's probably looking for a historically good offensive attack that passes

Actually no sir, he was solid on UW earlier in the year big time. He didn't start listening to the other offers or even taking calls until PC was canned.
